KKINI aims to provide women with luxury swimwear including bikinis, deck suits, and cover ups. KKINI focuses on runway trends, which inspire the materials, cuts and embellishments. The range should be viewed as a swimwear wardrobe offering suits that are appropriate for all hours of sunshine. Designer, Michaela Cawley, has lived in California, Cape Town, South Africa and South of France. These sunny destinations have influenced her swimwear and deck suit collection. Before launching KKINI, Michaela worked for fashion icon, Daphne Guinness. Daphne's love for couture clothing inspired Michaela to create a line found online and in boutiques that pays attention to beautiful fashion for the sun. As a result of her couture influence, she has a customized, couture branch of the business - where one-off pieces are designed upon request. Michaela's personal archive of vintage swimsuits is used for inspiration for the main collection. Michaela currently lives in New York, where the collection is designed.
